Charlotte Sturley - Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Health Data Analytics and Lead for PPIE. Project: “Geographical variation in health outcomes following Myocardial Infarction.” Areas of expertise: Health data analytics; epidemiology; health geography; geospatial methods; visualisation; Stata/R/ARCGis/disease mapping.

Evrim Anik - Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Health Data Analytics at the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics. Her research focuses on understanding multimorbidity phenotypes using large-scale linked electronic healthcare records and investigating their associations with mortality, healthcare utilisation, and other patient outcomes. She has extensive experience working with the Leeds Data Model and applying advanced analytical methods (including latent class analysis, flexible parametric survival modelling, Poisson regression, and mixed-effects modelling), and uses R, Stata, Python, and Microsoft Fabric for the analysis of linked healthcare data.

Ernest Boakye-Dankwa - Research Fellow in Cardiovascular Epidemiology in the Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine and Leeds Institute for Data Analytics. His research focuses on real-world evidence and causal inference for cardiovascular disease, with a focus on target trial emulation of long-term treatment strategies among post-myocardial infarction patients with type 2 diabetes. He has expertise in advanced epidemiology, causal inference, target trial emulation, machine learning, latent class and latent variable modelling, observational health data research, DAG-based causal modelling, survival analysis, and statistical programming in R, Mplus, and Stata.

Jonathan Batty - NIHR Clinical Lecturer at Hull York Medical School and a senior registrar in Interventional Cardiology based at The James Cook University Hospital, with honorary academic roles in the Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine and Leeds Institute for Data Analytics. His research focuses on improving outcomes following myocardial infarction and understanding multimorbidity using large-scale, routinely collected healthcare data. He has experience in advanced analytic methods (including classic epidemiology and biostatistics, in addition to novel, machine learning-based approaches) and is proficient with Stata, R and Python.

Tamara del Toro - PhD Student. Project: “Evaluating the impact of multimorbidity on guideline-recommended therapy for myocardial infarction using nationwide real-world clinical data”, 4-year British Heart Foundation PhD Programme. Areas of expertise: health data science; R/Python coding; science communication; coding community lead.

Christopher Hayward - Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Health Data Analytics. Former Research Fellow for project “Data phenotyping longitudinal multimorbidity trajectories in cardiovascular disease” AI for Science and Government Funding, Alan Turing Instutite (to December 2023). Areas of expertise: data analysis; computational simulation; machine learning; global search heuristics; combinatorial optimisation; Python/R/Shiny-coding.
